Travel

Peace of mind for Church travellers.

Travel insurance provides important financial protection when things don’t go to plan before or during a trip such as interrupted travel, lost baggage or worse an injury or sickness. No doubt lost baggage and travel interruptions are annoying but suffering a serious injury or sickness while overseas can be painful, frightening and emotionally distressing. It can also leave you significantly out-of-pocket financially because when you travel overseas you lose access to any government or private medical cover you have at home.

For people travelling overseas on church business or activities travel insurance is essential – no one should travel without it. But take time to carefully consider travel insurance for domestic trips as well; you never know when you might need it.

The Australian Government www.smartraveller.gov.au website provides helpful information about travelling and the importance of travel insurance. You can also register your travel plans on the site so that you can be contacted in an emergency.
