Welcome to the Team!

One of the most challenging roles to fill in the RMS team is that of Senior Risk Officer – Risk Control. It requires someone with a meaningful understanding of risk and safety within the context of construction and building code compliance, as well as a thorough understanding of the Adventist Church’s ministries and activities.

We are so pleased to have found someone who ticks all the boxes! RMS is excited to announce that Jon Knight has joined the team to fulfil this important role.

Jon comes to RMS with decades of experience in the building and construction industry, a stint as Avondale Pathfinder Club Director, and 4 years serving Adventist Senior Living as Construction Project Manager where he oversaw the construction of 18 new villas, hobby shed, pool and clubhouse at Jewels Village.

Jon resides in Bonnells Bay with his wife, Leanne. Together they have two grown-up daughters, twin girls, Brianna and Tahlia who will complete university studies this year.

Jon enjoys camping, getting out in the bush and mountain biking. Combining his hobbies with a good cause is something he finds really fulfilling and has been involved in the Blossom Project and Restore One’s Ride for Rescue for many years. He recently completed the ride, travelling from Canberra to Mount Kosciusko through the Snowy Mountains.

A family man and builder/carpenter by trade it’s in his nature to help others in whatever way he can. Jon looks forward to helping the church in this new role, saying, “I hope that I’m able to help churches and entities reduce their risks so they can stay focused on ministry.”

As a former Pathfinder Club Director, ministry is something he cares deeply about. While the role of Club Director is a lot of work it was, to him, extremely rewarding. “Keeping kids involved and learning about God and nature through Pathfinders is a very special and important part of the church,” he states.

We couldn’t agree more!

Welcome to the RMS team, Jon.
